GERRY HUNT
The main man behind DublinComics is Writer and Artist Gerry Hunt. Gerry has been drawing faces on walls, floors and paper from the time he could walk. His interest in comics dates back almost as far, whetted initially by the regular arrivals of large bundles from America

Streets of Dublin is the fourth comic in a series, exploring Gerry’s vision of a city part forgotten, part ignored but one which can be seen everyday.

Gerry Hunt's STREETS OF DUBLIN
Following the success of In Dublin City, DublinComics is pleased to announce their latest release Streets of Dublin. A beautifully illustrated full colour fifty six page Graphic Novel, it features Gerry Hunt’s meticulously crafted depictions of the Dublin he has known and lived in for 40 years.

In Streets of Dublin, Gerry exposes the underbelly of a city in constant flux, its once cherished values appear lost as it embraces its new found status. We follow two Dublin families as they struggle to survive against despair, their lives seemingly destroyed by crime, drink and drugs.

But sometimes Hope arrives when you least expect it. With loyalty, love and a touch of vigilantism maybe there is a road to a brighter future.

"...an attractive graphic novel deliciously designed and coloured... reading like an abridged adaptation of a misjudged screen-thriller that uncovers the grubby underbelly of the Capital's inner-city crime scene, it's not without its own ersatz charm... Jammed with junkie scumbags, hard-nippled slappers and gun-wielding 'chinks', the heightened reality of Streets Of Dublin...retains the permeation of Irishness and the exquisitely rendered city buildings." Bugpowder.com

“This is by far the best looking piece of comic art to come out of Ireland so far, and is a damn fine story, too. Gerry obviously loves Dublin, and cowboy stories, and the art of Robert Crumb and Will Eisner, and out of all these he has brewed this hard-bitten tale of drug trafficking and vengeance.” Irish SF News
